We are unable at present to provide a complete listing of all the motorhome handbrakes to which the RARE-SPARES handbrake extender will fit. It was however designed to fit the majority of the most common ones based on the very popular Fiat Ducato and also many of those based on Peugeots and Citroens.

The existing rubber handbrake grip on these vehicles is based on an elongated circular sectional shape measuring approximately 35mm top to bottom and 29.5mm wide. If your existing handbrake grip is significantly slimmer than this then you might need to use some suitable material (not provided) as a packer.

IMPORTANT:
The above dimensions refer only to the original Ducato. 

We have now just introduced  a version of the extender for the new post October 2006 Ducato type vehicles as well.  These have a different shape of handbrake grip.  It is slightly convex in shape (i.e thicker in the middle) and so the above dimensions do not apply.

Volkswagen?
The Rare-Spares handbrake extender (earlier Ducato straight sided grip version) has also been fitted by some purchasers to Volkswagen based motorhomes such as those based on the T4.
